This book is a rip off. Has very few actual recipes.

Over the decades I have used many cook books. When it comes to soups most have a soup recipe and notes underneath it called variations. This book has very few actual recipes. Most are variations. And most recipes start with "go to page __" make that soup as a base, and then give variations that no decent cook book would list as a separate recipe.
Far as I am concert selling me this book was like stealing. It should have been titled something like "30 soup recipes with variations."
Best book in the 500 series

The 500 soups provides 125 recipes for a variety of soups from everyday to exotic variations. Each of the 125 recipes has four minor variations that tweak the item into a different version by adding a new flavor profile. This is hands down the best cookbook in the series and provides excellent recipes for easy use. There are tons of great flavored soups that are easy to make from this book and may ones that are hearty enough to serve as a meal. This truly is an essential book for those who like to make soups.
