truly simple and truly wonderful

A great book about different and mostly quick little science learning experiences you can have with your children. I lead an after-school science club, and many of these activities will make their debut next year. Most of them involve things commonly found around the house, and they're all easy to do and understand. Furthermore, she uses good, scientific principles in her activities. There is only one thing I didn't agree with in this book. She suggests taking frog eggs from ponds and raising the tadpoles. While it's fun to do, it requires a research permit for many species, so don't try this until you've spoken with your local department of fish and wildlife.
