Explaining how to use a scroll saw or band saw to create an ark-full of miniature three-dimensional animals and a stable-full of miniature three-dimensional people to watch over them, this guide covers three-dimensional pattern use and basic power tool operating instructions and finishing techniques. It contains specific instructions and patterns for almost 50 three-dimensional projects. Gift ideas and presentation ideas--including a barn, a stable, and an ark in which to display the finished pieces--are also included.
I like this book because it is simple and straight forward. While there is not a huge amount of technical information, there are great examples of what can be made. I use this book as a reference and guide, and I am not bothered by the crudeness of the finished products.
Fun New Scroll Saw Folk Art

I really enjoy making the whimsical projects in this book. The directions and techniques are relatively easy. The projects can be made quickly from scrap wood. Everyone I know got a little pink flamingo for Valentine's Day. I made flocks of miniature ducks and herds of tiny bunnies to stuff into plastic eggs for Easter gifts. 3-D minis are a fun new way to make little folk art figures.
