Robert Traister was a wide-ranging and diligent writer in the electronic hobbyist area and I read and edited a number of his books, from which I always learned many useful things and improved my knowledge of electronics. I edited this one for TAB books way back when, and I learned a lot about electronics just reading and editing his books. Until I went on to another career, I edited 50 books in various areas of electronics and technology for TAB, and their books were a cost-effective, well done, and informative series of books on dozens of topics that otherwise might not have had a publishing venue to reach the general public. At the time, their only competitor was the SAM's series. I liked both of them and they both performed a useful service in the publishing of many specialized technical books.
