Good book to catch the interest of reluctant students

I use projects from this book to teach electrical and electronic packaging design (circuit boards) at a technical school. The projects are fun and simple enough to complete in a 12 week quarter. The range from a biorythm feedback project to a UFO detector. The schematic drawings are not to any known standard, but part of the fun for my students is "correcting" information from an expert source.
