Perfect for beginner players!

The begining of the book has instruction on the different kinds of notes, rests & how to count the rythmn. We clapped the music in the exercised and that helped my daughter to understand it before adding the harp. The author gave each string of the harp a number and that number is written above the slash notation. Our 16 string cega lyre has the names of the notes engraved so for us it was easier to go through and write the coresponding note name (G3-A5) next to the numbers. We are very excited to learn these old songs!
