Keep them from demoralizing or scaring away other employees. Know when to cut your losses. Avoid hiring troublemakers in the first place. Confront bullies, harassers, and ageists. Keep a backstabber from sabotaging your career. Keep an aggressive colleague from commandeering your meeting. Deal with colleagues who infringe on your time. I just got this book yesterday and went through most of it. I thought it would be helpful for my son-in-law who has a small business. But I think the little tips will work for more than the work place. The author uses very clear examples of what causes problems in the office environment. But in some cases, the same is true for classrooms or even with kids. A lot of it is good common sense you just need somebody to point out. The author did a very good job of that.
