It's good, but don't count on liking all 101

The format of this how-to book is good. The instructions don't give all the steps, but the photos help fill in the blanks. There are some great ideas for topiary arrangements, working with tulips and their tendency to bend, and some beautiful ideas for wedding bouquets. Though most of the ideas in this book are good-great, some are awful. The gold-spray painted cherub arrangement, and the hankie draped vase leave much to be desired. I guess it was hard to think of 101 great ideas, so they had to throw in some second rate ones. Overall though, very good.

With 101 favorite flower arrangements, you are sure to find one you absolutely love. IN fact, I think you will find more than one. Not only are these arrangements easy to create, the step-by-step directions make it even easier. The contents include: Romantic Notions Spring Celebrations Faux Designs Sympathy Tributes Corsages Wedding Bouquets Autumn Bounty Halloween Christmas The Roses in a Heart box is quite different than the normal dozen roses and is sure to get a lot of attention. A heart shaped box is sprayed with green paint and then lined with plastic and filled with wet foam. It is then filled with affordable spray roses. The Tulle and Roses Pomander is the perfect gift to give to your mother on Valentine's Day and it can be hung in a special spot or displayed on a pretty tray. There are also ideas for painting regular clay pots, covering props with moss, creating a miniature water garden, arranging a topiary, swirling branches to create a wreath and making a gorgeous rose and foam celtic cross. For autumn, the "Autumn Glow Bowl" is a rather cute idea. This is something you could keep around all Autumn as it is made with an assortment of pods, dried fruits and artificial fall leaves. Some great Christmas ideas using apples and they even have a great idea for a Christmas Tree. This book was more than likely designed for the professional florist which is fine because if you are curious and even just slightly creative, you can make some cute arrangements throughout the year. ~The Rebecca Review
