Great introductory book

I borrowed this from the library as I'm working with Geologists and needed to have some idea what they were talking about. I liked it so much I had to buy a copy. The newer (retitled, softback) version of the book isn't as good as there are fewer photos and they aren't as clear so get this version if you can. It would make a great gift for a child (or adult) with an enquiring mind but no knowledge of Geology.
