This book makes the case for single payer in a very clear and compelling way. It's written by physicians and public health experts and backed up by lots of research from sources that are non-political and very prestigious.

Reading this book makes me see the wonders of "socialized medicine", even though their solution is part socialization and part market. If only we could have a single-payer health care system; we would be one step closer to being civilized.
