There are poems that are pretty and ones that are profound. Toby MacLennan has compiled a very strange book of poems. They don't make too much sense, hey, they don't even rhyme. But something about them, stays with you in a haunting kind of way. It keeps you thinking. Some are only a few lines long, but you can't help wondering about them after you read them. A pretty poem can be nice on a birthday card, but just like a card, easily forgotten. It's definitely worth a read. You might not get it, but you'll be thinking about some of them for a long time. I still do.
