Lots of fun

My kids and I love it. It tells you how to draw step by step, and it is easy to follow. There is lots of fun while my kids and I drawing together. Highly recommend!

very good for teaching children

this book is excellent for teaching children how to draw. The drawings are broken down into simple shapes, which children can easily duplicate to make their own drawings. I have use this method with grades K - 4.

Super Learn-to-Draw book!!!!

3 of my children, ages 12, 8 and 6 are really interested in art and drawing. This book has been a wonderful tool for them to use. It is helping to foster the love of art and drawing at an early age. Maybe they will have a leg up when they apply for our local public school for the arts! If you have a child who seems to be artistic at all, I reccommend this book as a great starting point to learn to draw animals and sea creatures. It is the most comprehensive of all the 1-2-3 draw books out there. In fact, it seems to combine all of them into one. It is in a nice hard binder as well and contains drawing paper in the back. My kids blew through that quickly, so plan on buying lots of paper if you buy this book.

Great for youngsters and oldsters

As an elementary art teacher, the biggest problem I have had with "how to draw" books is that they are created by professional illustrators and the drawings are too sophisiticated for your average second grader. I love this book because the drawings are loved by both boys and girls, and they are fun but not violent or too commercial. Even some adults who do not draw like to use this book.
