Lin Shicheng was also a key figure in the Ethnic Department and PiPa program at the Central Conservatory of Music in China. He established a comprehensive, scientific, and instructive "Lin Shicheng PiPa Teaching Method" and dedicated his life to the vision of integrating various traditional PiPa schools into a unified "Greater Chinese PiPa School". He nurtured a large number of outstanding successors for China and the Central Conservatory of Music. The author Luo Fu, studied under Lin Shicheng for 38 years, this book is the first project in China designated by Lin Shicheng for Luo Fu's study, he personally guide this project, which approached the subject from the perspectives of history, musicology, PiPa cultural, and a global viewpoint.
