Happy Holidays to All!
I am Michael Teague, the VP of Operations here at ThriftBooks. I manage a team of almost 900 exceptional team members comprised of Sorters, Receivers, Shelvers and Shippers in our network of processing centers. Every single one of us is so appreciative of our customers and the loyalty you have shown to our brand. Whether we are evaluating books to sell to you and putting them on our shelves, to ensuring we have graded the book condition correctly so you have confidence you'll get what you order, or keeping our facilities clean and sanitized, we are focused on you, our valued Customer.
My team has been super busy this holiday season fulfilling orders at record pace...my "elves" if you will. We are taking orders, picking the book(s) off our shelves, taking that ordered book and are carefully shipping it for arrival before Christmas. It's been a crazy year. No doubt about it.
I am excited for all of you to open your gifts on Christmas Day hopefully filled with books you discovered here at ThriftBooks.
As I am sure you all have seen in the news, shipping activities may be delayed due to the constraints in the supply chain related to an increase in online shopping this holiday season. All carriers are experiencing historic volumes so we've had to push up our standard shipping order cut-off date for packages to arrive prior to Christmas.
That day is Friday, December 11. If you have ordered from us, you may want to consider another order and if you haven't (but intend to), today is the day to do it so that we can deliver your package by Christmas.
Our folks have done such a great job of handling orders to this point in the year. We, in Operations, are so grateful to have an opportunity to do the work for each of you...our Customers.
Don't wait, order today!
Have a happy and healthy holiday,
Michael Teague
