April 17 Is "National (Dog) Haiku Poetry" Day

Part 5 in the Dog Blog series

Dogs are poets. Just look into those soulful eyes and write down what you see.

For this month's blog, my dog, who patiently waits by the door for my husband to come home, composed the following haiku and asked me to share it with his blog fans:

duty's call answered
loyal heart awaits with hope
the door will open
