Great children's book

Tomie DePaola has been our family's favorite for more than 30 years. This is an awesome book as it contains many of his stories and it makes a great gift. I have given this book many times. I can highly recommend it.

An outstanding Tomie de Paola Collection!

This book is a great value for the price! Four of Tomie's books in one nice hardcover edition. Each story is a gem in itself. My 7-year old son (2nd grade) loves all of the stories, and Tomie de Paola is his favorite author. (Actually, I'm not sure who loves them more, me or him!) The stories are equally entertaining for adults, and the illustrations are phenomenal, as usual for Tomie. I was really impressed when the other day, my son sat down and read all 4 stories-the entire book-in one sitting. That is saying a lot for a boy who would generally rather play video games than do anything else! A great big thanks to Tomie de Paola for his contribution to children's literature!!!

I am a huge fan, not just of the artist, but how he chooses to frame his gift in the stories he chooses. A great book for children, even those of us well over forty!
