Perfect for a Bible Study

Dr Fuchsia Pickett's insight in writing her book For Such a Time as This is a blessing and I thank God for her ability to express herself in such an insightful book. A Prophetic View of the Church in Esther is amazing! Vashti represents the independent rebellious spirit of man. Esther represents the bride of Christ striving to be presented before the Lord Jesus "without spot or wrinkle". Mordecai typifies the Holy Spirit. Haman represents the flesh. The King is human and yet merciful, an all powerful, glorious, mysterious Awesome Lord. Dr Fuchsia explains why we must all reach a point in our life where we willingly "overcome" our failures and fears and say, "If I perish, I perish" and have a heart that says and means "If it please the King". As in Romans 8:28; "Knowing that all things work together for good for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purposes." Her book is a lovely work and an inspiration. I hope to teach her thoughts to a Bible Study of ladies at our church this next spring 2008. It is a true encouragement to Christian thought and growth.

This is also a definite must read...admittedly, this is not a book that you want to sit down and read in one sitting (although you can). It should be read and processed slowly--to get the full 'flavor'. In fact, I would recommend that you read the book of Esther first and then read this book. It really enlightened me and now, I read the Bible with a better understand.

The late Dr. Fuchsia Pickett has written a challenge to the Church of today and it's relationship with our heavenly Father. Her book For Such a Time as This is a profound revelation of Church and how it parallels the book of Esther in the Holy Bible. As believers we sometimes see ourselves as a modern day Esther. We passionately cry out to our God, "If I perish, I perish!" Have you been there? This book brings the reader to a place of abandonment and surrender to the King of Kings. A surrendering of all to the King and saying, "If it please the king." This book by Dr. Fuchsia Pickett is a timeless treasure for any book case and a definite recommend by Roz.

This is book is awesome, thought provoking and leaves the reader with a true understanding of how God works in our lives to prepare us for His Kingdom. Don't miss out on the blessings this book can bring. I bought it and it is now circulating in my place of work. It is a book you won't put down when you begin reading it. Blessings to all that read.

A must reading for spritual understanding of Old Testement.

Have you ever read and read the words in the OT and have to re-read to understand what was said or why its there. Read the story of Esther thourgh the spritual eyes of Fuchsia Pickett and the word will come alive. God has a purpose and plan for everthing. This story makes it clear and you can see the Holy Spirit working it all out. We in the body need to excersize our spritual eyes and see what hidden treasures the scripture has for us.
