My son flew through this book. I love a good survival story and this was one crazy one. I could not put this book down, in awe of the grit, the ingenuity and adapting to such a dire situation. This book really moved me. It places a close second to (in my opinion)The greatest Non-Fiction survival account ever, "Into Thin Air". Some books have too much buildup to the real event, or series of events, but this book is not one of those books. The balance of explanation-to-adventure was perfect. There were even pictures! The inner 6 year old in me rejoiced when she figured that out. A must read, even if you dont neccesarily enjoy survival accounts, this put things in perspective for me. And I truly believe everyone these days needs a little of that.
