Thrill ride

2nd book in the Taylor Jackson series. This one was so much better than the first. A long dormant serial killer reappearing or is it a copycat? Ties with Taylor's past & the stress of the upcoming nuptials with Baldwin. Taylor and team face a cunning adversary & the book is enthralling with all of the twists & revelations which begs the question, How far will you go for your family?

Another great read!

J.T.'s done it again! This is even more intense and well done than ALL THE PRETTY GIRLS. I love Taylor Jackson! She's a real woman with a real job that she obviously loves and is good at. The reader just can tell that Ellison loves her characters and tries to make the reader love them too. She's so totally human and real. Not a super hero, just a woman who's good at what she does. A great love story woven in adds to the joy. I dare you to put it down!

I Read This

Wow,,,thrilling,,cliff hanger,,awsome..Ya gotta read this.. I have read all J.T.Ellisons books and can't wait for more.

JT Ellison has done it again!

If you have to be asleep at a certain time to get up for work, don't pick up "14" by JT Ellison, because you will NOT be going to sleep! In her second (can you believe only her second?!?!) novel, JT Ellison once again takes us to places we may not ever have wanted to go, but makes us want to go there so badly we will risk losing a job to get there! Lieutenant Taylor Jackson leads us intrepidly into the dark side of life in Nashville and New York in pursuit of a serial killer who just CAN'T be back again - or can he? At the same time, in a manner only Ellison could pull off, Taylor is wrestling with family issues and is trying (?) to get married! This blend of Taylor's professional and personal life makes her such a multi-dimensional character that the reader feels as if she is a personal friend. The drama and terror are so well written that this book is best started in the early morning hours, so that it can be finished well before dark. Only two books in, and Ellison has a true fan here. Watch for more from this terrific new author (this is not a paid advertisement, no matter how it sounds!)

a gritty urban serial killing thriller

In the 1980s in Nashville, the Snow White Killer murdered ten women who looked similar with their dark hair and the red lipstick painted haphazardly all over their lips. The serial killer was never caught, but taunted the police with a note claiming mission accomplished. At the time of the murders, preadolescent Taylor Jackson was fascinated by them; she hoped, if the predator was not caught then, to one day have the opportunity to catch the psychopath when she became an adult police detective. Two decades later, the case remains unsolved, but Taylor knows that was the impetus that turned her to law enforcement. The homicide lieutenant is stunned when the Snow White type murders begin again. She and her fiancé FBI profiler John Baldwin investigate planning to bring the killer, whether he is the original or a copycat, to justice. The second Taylor Jackson police procedural (see ALL THE PRETTY GIRLS) is a gritty urban serial killing thriller with strong plausible twists. The story line is fast-paced and filled with action as Taylor got her tweener wish as she goes after the deadly effective and efficient psychopath. 14 is a tense and intense thriller throughout.

Masterful Suspense

This book is perfectly paced, full of suspense, and creepy as all get out--I liked it even better than ALL THE PRETTY GIRLS. Ellison proves once again that she not only knows how to keep the reader turning pages, but how to create characters that stay with you long after you've finished reading. Taylor Jackson rocks, plain and simple.
